Need to access the wd tv live hub from the internet from my ipod

Townky Media server won’t allow this even though WD states that internet access is possible so I am looking for a way to do this.  Can’t find any programs available for the itouch/iPad that will support streaming video to these idevices.

Anyone have any suggestions for this.  I can open any port on the router to allow this  but only as a second choice would I want to be forced to leave my PC running just to run a server program.

I use 8player on my iPad to access my music file stored on the hub. Work like a charm.
