Need help with network shares

I have some questions…

1)  Is there a way to enter an address for a share as opposed to the wd tv live doing automatically?  I just want the videos section to always default to the appropriate videos folder.   As of now, it just goes to the root leaving the user to click through several folders just to get the appropriate one

2)  Is there no way for the section to remember the last folder viewed?  So say if I’m in Videos and the last time I when into the section I selected “HD”.  Is there no way for it to remember that?

  1. you could use the media library arnd choose the shares that you want in the “root” folder. Works pretty well on firmware 3.x, and the abiity to choose directories from multiple sources (computers, NAS, other WD Devices etc) make it well worth using the media library feature.
