Need help to set up

I have just bought a My Book World Editon I set it up a few times as described on instruction it works perfect it does what i want. 

I switch it off at power point when i am not using it as it is only used as a family storer when I turn it back on the settings have changed and i have to use wd discovery again to find it.

Can anybody help me

If you mean that you need to map it again every time that you restart the computer, if you have a windows computer and you are mapping it by right clicking on computer and then “map network drive”. Look for the check box for “reconnect at logon” and click on it.
