What i dont get is that why are there so many extra softwares that must be added to use the features such as streaming (twonky) or mionet? It’s confusing. Rather than making users install these extra softwares, why doesnt the installation process install it automatically? It’s complicated and buggy. Back to the store for a refund.

YOU don’t need to install ANYTHING.
All of those features are already installed.
By the way, mionet is done. It’s gone. It’s over. WD uses WD 2go now, and there’s no client software installed for that, either.
The only software you might want to install (though it’s not requred) is Smartware tools…
