Need Help: After Firmware and WD SmartWare update HDD tests failed appear at WD SmartWare

Hello

I’ve updated  my WD Book Essential yesterday. I’ve done 1st step Firmware and 2nd step WD SmartWare update as recommended. Ater this update the HDD test on WD SmartWare says the test failed.

Before the update both HDD tests were OK. I use the HDD only ocassionaly for backups.

Is my HDD still OK?

Made another test with Data Lifeguard Diagnostic from WD and the test is OK.

If WD DLG says your drive passed both quick and extended test then it means your drive is fine. I recommend you uninstall and reinstall WD Smartware to verify if the issue goes away. If the issue remains then I recommend you contact support for assistance.
