Need advice before buying!

Hi everyone, 

I’m new to this community. I regirestred because I want to buy a Western DIgital media player. I was wondering if it is possible to browse movies by artists, genre, year…

For example, let’s immagine I have a 2TB hard drive full of divx. Each movie is structured as this:

movie-1
  movie-title.avi
  movie-title.jpg
  movie-info.xml

movie-2
  movie-title.avi
  movie-title.jpg
  movie-info.xml

...

The movie-info.xml contains info about the movie (year, artists, genre, producer…). 

Ok, maybe I will have to change the structure (and apply a transformation), but I was wondering if a western digital media player allow users to browse by genre, title, artits…

The Live HUB supports XML.

However, it’s not fully implemented yet;   It will SHOW the details that you have in the XML (according to the specification) but Searching / Sorting / Filtering isn’t applied to this XML yet.

HOWEVER, if you use the Hub’s “Get Content Info” feature and let it replace the XML with its own, then it does work.
