Need a lil help

I bought a computer off a freind, the HD is less then a year old, and it has over 1,000 KB in bad sectors, ive tryed useing the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows, and it doesnt even get half way, comes up with saying its stoped because there are to many bad sectors.

Will WD replace this for me, even though i did not buy it myself? I bought the whole pc off a freind.

Thanks.

Trickster.

Well did it come in a prebuilt pc like a hp or acre if so it has one year warranty from them. The way to make sure is go to this page and check the warranty status   http://support.wdc.com/warranty/index_end.asp?lang=en  sometimes they may ask for a receipt

The pc come already built, i got it secound hand of a private seller. i have checked and the HD is still in warranty.

I dont have the receipt for it. :frowning:

Hi just start the RMA from that same page it should go ok.
