After so long I am still finding the 8 second click-click of WD10JPVT.

Please, Western Digital, could you do the decent thing and release a new wdidle3 that will address this problem.

There are many Linux and multi-boot users out there.

I just wrote a Linux daemon that writes to the disk every five seconds. Now it no longer goes idle.
