I have currently a NAS WD EX2 ultra without 2x4To HDD WD Red Pro set in RAID1
I have just bought 2x16To HDD WD Red Pro.
Wanted to change the HDD, keeping my data to get 2x16To in RAID1.
-I started by replacing a first 4To HDD by a 16To HDD. After a while, they were swnchronized. OK
-I then replaced my second 4To HDD by a second 16To HDD. After a while, they were synchronized. OK
→ at that stage I was then with my 2x16To in RAID 1, but with only a 4To capacity.
I then followed the “expand” procedure. Set sliders to 16To and wait… but :
The status shows “expansion in progress” without any progress : concretely nothing is running. I tried to check with ssh which confirmed that nothing is running.
I asked WD support providing logs, details. Despite wasting time with them, they did not provide anw kind of support, and after 15 days they are now asking for basic informations I provided day 1.
I then decided to redo the procedure : setting my initial 2x4To, moving 1 to 16To, moving 2 to 16To. But again faced the same issue when expanding.
I would appreciate your help, ideas
