NAS + SMP coverart / metadata problem

Hi all.  I have a Synology NAS and am streaming the video files via the DiskStation’s media server.  Everything works fine, except for the fact that I cannot see any coverart or metadata for movies or TV shows?  I’d like to be able to see thumbnails, backgrounds, and the episode’s / movie’s description so I know what I’m about to watch.

How do I set this up?  Thanks.

You’ll need to use network shares instead.

Ah got it, thanks.  This helps a lot.  Makes sense now.  I will check it out when I get home tonight.  On a side note, I have another problem on my WD LIVE HUB.  I keep getting multiple icons for video files instead of just one.  All files load the same movie.  How do I repair this.  I’ve tried rescanning the library etc.  I keep getting the same problem.

That annoys me as well.   Usually fix it by clearing the library in setup/system and letting it rescan.
