I want to buy a NAS with HDMI output, so I don’t have to have a computer connected to my TV.
But I don’t want to throw my My Cloud Home device to the trash bin.
Do you know if a NAS (Qnap or Synology) will be able to acess MCH device, since I don’t know if it would be possible to install the WD Discovery software in them?.

The WD Discovery software will only work on the My Cloud Home devices.
So are you saying either I will only have access to the public part of the MCH device (so accesible to everyone on earth) OR disassemble the MCH, extract the hard disk, and mount it into the NAS?
