I have Spider-Man (2002) in avi format. It’s split into 2 avi files.
I’ve tried naming them “Spider-Man (2002) CD1.avi” and “Spider-Man (2002) CD2.avi”, I’ve tried the same names but with both files inside a folder called “Spider-Man (2002)” and I’ve tried swapping “CD1” and “CD2” for “(1)” and “(2)”, no luck, the WDTV Live just won’t fetch the poster/metadata.
I have other movies that are single-part avi files, like “Spider-Man 2 (2004).avi” and it grabs the poster/data just fine.
Help!
Thanks!
use “mkvmerge” to join the two files together.
Thanks, but isn’t there a way of naming them? And does mkvmerge work on avi files?
You’ll have to manually scrape them using Options - Get Content Info – and then edit the name that it’s searching.
.mkv is a container, inside can any of many different video/audio formats.

just to add onto that:- edit the .xml’s after by adding the cd1 and cd2 in the title.
