Hi i own a WD My Passport Ultra meta 1TB hard drive and it was working perfectly till i updated my MacOS to High sierra. When i tried WD unlock software it states Unknown Security state:ff.
I tried booting mac on safe mode. The WDUnlock software worked perfectly asking for my password and the drive gets unlocked. Any help in the issue resolution will be helpful as ive critical data as others.
Try to reinstall the updated version of WD Security from WD Support and unlock the drive using WD Security and check if you are able to access the drive after that.

nope. It does not resolved the issue
I’m also facing same issue but “reinstalling the updated version of WD Security from WD Support” does not help.
Anyone facing same issue or any solution for this?
