I’m trying to connect my MyPassport 4 TB to a PVR-ready sat receiver, but it is not being recognized. I suspect that it doesn’t support such a high capacity (the stb manual doesn’t mention any limits). I tried an MBR table with a single NTFS partition (as advised by the manual).
I was also attempting to change the sector size or limit visible sector count by setting HPA or DCO, but it seems not being supported by this drive (or only a USB-bridge used?).
What else can i do?

The My Passport drive might not getting the full power to spin up. Connect the drive directly with the Sat Receiver and avoid using any USB hub in between.
