MyPassport Drive is unable to be read and following are the happenings. All while when connected the led blinks from MyPassport drive

  1. When connected to windows10, the DiskManagement says “Connecting to Virtual Disk Service” and freezes

  2. In This PC explorer, the drive is shown as D but does not display any other information like total size and how much is free only D is seen in rectangle box

  3. When connected after some time the file explorer/USB device explorer freezes

  4. Tried connecting to a Linux OS, mounted as ntfs mount point, it says while mounting “This disk contains an unclean file system (0, 0). The file system wasn’t safely closed on Windows. Fixing” and takes about 15 - 20 mins and then mounts. Able to view the files, but very slow to view or copy files.

Any help to fix the MyPassport external disk with Windows 10.
