Mynet N750 connection loss repeatedly

All,

I have a UPC coax line connection to my Providers modem, from that a gigiabit ethernet cable is used as uplink to my mynet N750. The problem i am facing, is a regular loss of connection to internet. I have had several provider engineers come over due to a variety of problems, but they keep stating (and proving through scanning of the cable) they dont have a connection problem on their upload cable from house to street connection point.

The distribution point is located on the blind side of my house (corner building) and from distribution point to main cable in house, is like max 8 meters.

when performing a continues ping to the providers site with a 5 second interval, it showed me repeated loss of connection, from 1 up to 4/6 repeats. Cross checking to the mynet log file, i was confronted with the following report. Unfourtunatly… i am still not able to define the cause of the my connection loss.

which part is causing a problem?

Distribution box

House uplink cable

Provider router

Internal uplink cable

Mynet750 - Wireless

Known problem dude. If you’re already on latest FW then only things left are to clone the MAC address and disable FasTrack. If that doesn’t work you’ll have to get a replacement router from WD.

Thank you,

I had searched, but did not find it as a known problem, i was allready at highest firmware level. Have just adjusted the fastrack *dont use kazaa so was not aware*.

I will test and hope for the best.

Ok,

After the adjustments, i still have the same errors in my log, and loss of connections. I will go and find the retailers store receipt.

This is a known issue you stated, and wd can solve it … but is this a hardware version issue of the n750? so a new n750 and problem solved, or do i need to switch types?
