Mycloud stop showing in explorer on windows7 laptop

I have 2 windows laptops, and 1 mycloud NAS.

up until recently I could see (and connect) to the NAS using windows explorer under “network”. However, the NAS no longer shows up, even though I can ping the device…

any ideas?

This is fairly simple. If you have shares set up on the MyCloud you can simply Map the network drives
Open My Computer and at the top there should be a map network drive option.
use “\192.168.x.xxx\sharename” and use different credentials and simply put in the username and password you used for setting up the user on the MyCloud.

Replace 192.168.x.xxx with your MyCloud IP (set this as static in the WebGUI) and sharename with whatever shared folder you want to access.
If you allow windows to save the credentials and set it to connect on login its basically like having an extra harddrive and makes backups super easy.

What a star!! Spent 2 hours trying to sort this out and within a couple of minutes of posting on this thread now sorted!! Awesome. Thanks mate…
