MyCloud Server does not recognize WD Elements 4TB USB connected drive.

Why not?

I can connect the WD Elements to my computer and it recognizes immediately.

Why would the MyCloud Server not identify the connected USB WD Elements?

I can connect other USB drives and they are identified and can be mapped.

Certain USB drives not being recognized with the OS 3 firmware on the My Cloud is a known issue in this subforum. There are several other threads that discuss the issue with no solution as of yet.

Contact WD Support and start a support case so you can send the logs of your My Cloud to them. The more people that send in their logs will hopefully help WD engineers/programmers find a fix for this particular issue that plagues some of us (me included).

I think, also, with Cloud OS3 that WD use up-to-date drive management utilities. That could help.

Not sure what you are referring to. If firmware, then I am up to date on that.
