MyCloud OS5 EX2 Ultra Fan Issues

Just how serious are spurious “Fan not working” warnings? I recently purchased a 4gb ex2ultra from the WD store. It took 5 weeks for delivery due to backorder. I have had it two weeks . It has sent me a “Fan not Working” warning a couple of times a day even though the fan seems to actually be working and temperatures seem okay. I have already invested a lot of time on this device and I am afraid to return it for replacement due to the backorder situation. Is anyone else having fan warning issues with OS5 EX2 ultra or found solutions? Every software solution I can find posted is for an older OS version and will not work for OS5.

I discovered that with OS5 at least hardware events, including temperatures, fan speeds and alerts are logged in /var/log/wdhwlib.log. After searching the log I noticed that the fan alerts in my case are not just related to drive temperature. For me they mostly occur when CPU temperature aproaches 90 degrees. It looks to me like when the fan control trys to run the fan at low speed is when the alerts tend to occur.
