Hi,
I have a MyCloud Mirror Gen 2, 16tb.
I had a 8tb drive failing on me (see bottom note). Got the new one and completed a rebuild.
I then rebooted the enclosure (using the reboot utility). Everything was showing Healthy ( Raid volume & both disk ), I did a scan disk. (Settings->Utilities->Scan Disk).
The result of the scan disk was: “Fail” and both drive’s LED turned solid red.
When I go check the system logs, I get:
“File system check has detected errors on your configuration. Backup your data and recreate your drive configuration to resolve these errors. If problem remains, contact WD Support.”
System Test is all good.
Disk quick check is:
“Disk1 Passed - Quick disk test completed successfully.
Disk2 Passed - Quick disk test completed successfully.”
Can someone explain a bit what’s going on here ?
What configuration are we talking about ?
I have a hard time finding proper documentation on the actual meaning of this error.
While I do have multiple backup of the really important content, I do not have a full 8Tb on hand at the moment to backup the totality of my content.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
(bottom note) Rebuilding was to take 83 days (!!) After researching the problem a bit, I went in SSH and increased the raid speed limit:
sysctl -w dev.raid.speed_limit_min=100000
Src.: RAID rebuild taking days/weeks/months/not working? - #5 by James_TNHD
The first rebuild took 35 hours and failed as my drive 1 (the source drive/the good one with content) failed for an unknown reason near the end. SMART status never showed it to be Bad. So I guess it was just a random fluke ?
The second rebuild took 16 hours and was successful.
