I have a WDBCTL0030HWT-00 which will lose its ability for me to access it from my android phone. That’s OK, I know I can still use it local. What would be a direct replacement that functions the same as my present device?
There is no direct replacement available from WD. But a much better single bay NAS is the Synology DS118. Don’t be tempted to go for the less expensive DS220j.
If you don’t need remote access, you can always stick with your existing MyCloud.
