After upgrading to OS5 my MyCloud Home 2TB stopped to enter in stand by mode even after a total reset to factory settings and upgrade to firmware version 5.12.108.
All services are disabled, no apps installed, no backups scheduled.
Any suggestions are wellcome
What specific My Cloud device do you have? The My Cloud Home is not supported by OS5. The My Cloud Home is a completly different device than the My Cloud line. If one really does have a My Cloud Home, see the specific subforum for the My Cloud Home line of devices.
If one has a My Cloud device running OS5, there are a number of past complaints of the OS5 units, much like when running OS3, not going into “sleep” mode. One can find those past discussions using the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right.
Assuming that you have a My Cloud (Single Bay)?
Can you provide the following information and then open a support case and attach the files requested?
-
Collect the System Logs?

I have exactly the same problem but after upgrading to OS5 on my MyCloud EX2 Ultra 4TB. It stopped entering standby mode and spinning down the drive. I also did a total reset to factory settings and am on firmware version 5.12.108. All my services are disabled, no apps installed, and no backups scheduled. This is ridiculous. Everything was fine on OS3. And before anybody asks, I do need remote cloud access.
I can suggest you to do the same that SBrown asked to me and send him the case number
soy de argentina y mismo ploblema no entra en ahorro de energia
And about 1 month later “WD support” will email and ask for something more or ask you to describe more what you told them. Back to OS3 to save your time
