MyCloud Failed - Drive removed - What now?

I have the 4TB single disk model. The LED began to blink red after moving it to another location in my home. It’s well beyond the warranty period, so I removed the drive from within the enclosure. No matter what I connect it to, the data on it remains inaccessible. I’ve tried both Linux and Windows rigs via USB and SATA. I have family photos on this drive that I do not wish to lose. Please let me know what you did if you’ve had some success after being in my situation. Thank you!

It’d be helpful if you can tell us what happens when you connect it to your Linux box.

Does the disk manager not find it?

Does the drive even power up and spin up?

If the system logs indicate errors when trying to mount the drive, then the drive probably failed hence the red light in the My Cloud.

The Linux laptop didn’t even recognize that it was connected. Yes, the drive powers and spins with no beeping or clicking. I read that the SATA bridge may have separated somehow as it is a common issue that makes people believe their hard drives are dead. I’m looking into this.
