MyCloud EX2 Ultra - OS5 - Disconnecting from Network

Hi,
I just made the mistake of buying a MyCloud EX2 Ultra. Set it up and could see it on the network and set up users. But as soon as I try to write anything to it, of leave it connected for more than about an hour ir disconnects with the message “server connection interrupted”, in addition the computer is disconnected from the internet with the message 'wifi does not have an IP Address". Connection is restored on rebooting the computer. This occurs with both Mac and PC. I’ve tried changing to a static IP address and the 4 second and 40 second reset. Any ideas?

Your wifi goes down and you’re still blaming the NAS? Your router is the problem.

Not if all the other equipment connected to it continues to work, it isn’t. Surprisingly, I did think to check.

Try setting a static IP address for the EX at least that can make trouble shooting easier.

Thanks Cordorb. I have tried changing to a static IP address, but the problem remains the same. Very frustrating!
