MyCloud EX2 is renaming files and resetting dates?

When I upload from the WD MyCloud app on my iphone, all the names and dates of the files are reset? 

I see complaints from last year about this on the MyCloud (not the EX2), could this still be an issue? 

If so - its of course not a usable solution, which is disappointing - and now its past the return date time.
