Mycloud 5TB Drive refusing connections

well, you are not going to believe this. But I finally got in again via mycloud.hom and when I did it did a download of a new software patch to the device and rebooted the device. After the reboot I could see it on the LAN.

So there you go. It was some sort of problem on the device itself and it needed the update, I presume some microcode or OS update, and once that was done it was reachable again.

So that is what happened. It was nothing to do with anything I did.

I have no idea why this all happened but I am very happy to have my drive back. I think I will be buying another large USB drive to replicate or back up the cloud drive.
