MyCloud 3 TB v5.29.102

Hello, I have a question about the indexing process. would hard wiring with a lan cable yield better results than networked through my router?
Currently it’s in the basement mounted to a false wall with cables routed and hidden behind the wall. with cloud access on, it immediately says “updating” and stays in that state until the stupid 30 minute web web access timeout kicks in and I have to log in again. afterwards, it seems as if re activating cloud access is required and the process starts again.

would the CPU and RAM be over exerted and cause it to crash in a hardwired configuration? Im comfortable waiting a few days but want to know if removing it from its current location to hardwire will be futile?
Ive read through many of the knowledge base posts but can’t tell.

The User Manual will tell you how and where you should set your device up.

I have the same device as you and I haven’t had any problems with it, until now. It is not wanting to open the Dashboard. I can open and see my shares and files in File Explorer. Twonky isn’t wanting to work. Mine is set up on my desk and connected to my router.

It’s the one on the right.
