MyBookWorld folder with tilde - need to change permissions and delete!

Hi, I have a WD MyBookWorld and I am trying to clean up folders with a tilde in the title such as 5LAUMN~R

Clicking on the name I get invalid directory name errors, and when looking at the properties - security I get a message ‘the requested security information is either unavailable or cannot be displayed’.

I tried deleting using command line entries but get ‘access denied’.

Can anyone help me understand what these folders might be and how I can modify?
