Mybooklive connected to mac via ethernet

hi,

I am trying to use my mybooklive wd hardrive on my mac via an Ethernet cable, but it has detected it; however the harddrive is blinking green and says connection failed. Why is that?? and how to fix this? Thank you

@sophtche

Have you read the User Manual or other material that came with the My Book that would provide instructions for setting up and using it?

Use this link, High-Capacity HDDs for PCs, NAS, Gaming, Data Centers, and AI Data Cycles | WD, and look under products for your device and more information.

My Book Live Support

it tells me to go this site: http://www.wd.com/setup. but it says it cannot be found/no longer exists.

@sophtche
How long have you owned your My Book Live? Does WD still make what you own?
