I just wanted to share my experience with this forum.
my drive was making clicking noises and wouldn’t hibernate-, i thought the drive was about to fail so tried all sorts of settings
I changed the power supply for another i had laying around-(12v and 1.amp rated) and all problems vanished and my mybooklive 3tb is working great and streaming films and music to my tv as before.
the old power supply showed no signs of damage as the light on the drive was flashing away.
i recommend trying this and hopefully this will help you too- good luck
