MyBook World (white light) slow access from Mac Device

Hi there,

I have an existing MyBook World (white light) 1TB storage device connected to my home network that has been working fine with multiple Win 7 machines.

I have recently purchased a Mac Book Pro running Sierra 10.12 and experience significant performance problems, such as slow access, when connecting to the MyBook world device.

I would appreciate any feedback from the community on what needs to be done to provide effective and optimal network access to MyBook world from a Mac device?

What is the firmware version of your My Book World?

Hi Peter,

The firmware has recently been updated to ‘NAS Firmware: 01.02.14 with MioNet’.

MyBookWorld performance from a Mac Book Pro (10.12) device remains painfully slow to the point that the storage device is unusable.

Any comments on resolving the issue would be most welcome.
