I was the one you heard about. I was the last Windows Vista user until just last week. I finally put Windows 7 on my machine and now I have three more years of support before I’m that last guy again.
In the meantime, I have a treasured MyBook World 1TB drive that I use regularly to backup all of my photos, music, tax returns… you know - the usual stuff. I no longer have the original CD that came with the unit and I need to run the WD Discovery tool so I can map some of the folders as drives in Windows. I can’t find that software. Is it available somewhere here on wd.com? It seems that it’s so old that it’s hardly even acknowledged by WD anymore.
Can anyone point me to a source for the software, or tell me how to log in using another method? I browsed to it in Windows and was prompted for a user name and password, which I have used up my guesses for.
Any help would be tremendously appreciated.
