Over the last day or so, my studio 2 is showing the external light on all the time.
If flashes up & down wehn time machine is writing to it, but whereas before it would fade on and off every 4 seconds when in stand by, it now doesn’t go into stand by.
Can anyone advise or help?

You can download the WD Drive Manager app, this should make it easier for the computer to tell when to put drive on stand by.
What type of connection are you using usb, firewire or esata?
