MyBook HD was purchased to use as Cloud backup using ReadyShare. It is currently at 50% capacity and formatted FAT32. When plugged into Network Router, it cannot be seen in Network. Other hard drives can be seen when plugged into router. Geek Squad says the hard drive/Ready Share has a problem(and is a lousy system). We currently use the MyBook as a desktop HD as the ReadyShare backup option could not be figured out.
After reading other posts, I thought to try and assign the MYBook Mac Address to router but the MYBook does not show a MAC address, only model and serial number.
I know it should work with Ready Share as other hard drives can be seen on the network and the MYBook does work as a desktop drive.
Please help
