Mybook otd android connectivity

And I want to connect it to my android 7.0. if I plug in a normal USB storage device the tablet picks it up as another drive. Will this happen if I get a micro usb converter for the mybook? Like this one:

Well, first of all, I would like to inform you that we have not tested as well as we do not recommend to use a platter drive with mobile devices as the drive cannot draw enough power from it.
