Hi,
I recently attempted to do a safe point from mybooklive to my PC to do a backup. What I have notice that that the Mybooklive detected the PC when I click on discovered, but when I click on the PC when I get a no share found. This is after I granted full control permission to everyone to a folder. I never get a prompt to enter my credentials.
After playing around with it, I discovered that it appears that windows 10 appears to have turned off smbv1 protocol as a security measure and mybooklive does not appear to be compatible with smbv3. As an experiment, I temporary enable smbv1 by running powershell and reboot.
Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName smb1protocol
After that, I get the prompt to log into the share as I expected. Other than enabling smbv1, which would be a security risk, is there a workaround for this? I am at the latest firmware for mybooklive, which appears to be at MyBookLive 02.43.10-048 : Core F/W
