MyBook LIve blue and white light continuous cycle

I have a MyBook LIve (replacement for a first faulty one) which worked fine for 9 months, but then suddenly showed a redlight, then a continuous green flashing light, and now the LED is blue, then white then blue.  I have logged 2 support requests on the WD website, but no response other than the automatic reply mesages -  after 10 days and 2 days.

The dashboard is not available, the drive not visible on the newtwork, and I have tried restarting it numerous times.  What now?

Have you tried a couple of simple steps, like doing a power cycle or pressing the reset button on the back for 4 seconds?
