I have always relied on WD storage. This is the first product from WD I am having doubts about in a very big way.
I have had this thing installed for about a month now. I have the latest i7 MACmini, 32GB and so on.
First of all, It is configured in RAID1. In the last week, I now have on my desktop, (2)-volumes with the exact same name. This also appears in the FINDER.
NEXT, a week or so ago, i saw a window that said this thing didn’t know what RAID configuration it was in.
When I tried to shut these volumes down it wouldn’t let me unmount the discs.
I Have 64% left on this storage device.
I have the latest WD Discovery software.
When I went online to access the mycloud capability it wanted to know my model or serial number or some ID data and that would not work. Customer service said it was a direct access device but when I sign on into my WD account, you can’t get past this screen and therefore, worthless.
SO, I unplugged this thing until I hear from CS or someone here for possible solutions or ecxplainations,
