I purchased a MyBook to backup data from a failing raid that will not repair. The MyBook is 8Tb and it has 8 successful backups run on to it.
The new raid set is on a different machine and has 11Tb the o/s is server2012r2 and the machine is offline.
The offline software has installed and the files and structure can be seen. The guidance WD Backup: Restore Backup on a Different Computer has been followed but when the restore is running it runs for only app 5 mins and then says restore complete. However no files are restored. Even when only a couple of files are selected they do not restore.
The next time the backup software is run it says there is no backup schedule and restore is not permitted.
Are there any suggestions to help?
Hi Duncan1,
Please try to re-install the WD backup software and check if the issue still persist.
Hi Alex.s
I tried that and also downloaded the latest software from WD but
the result was the same
The backup has now been connected to the original source machine
and what should have been scheduled backups have failed to run as
well as a forced backup.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi Duncan1,
