I have a legacy Mybook that I have had for well over a decade…(my ex husband used it) and I just found it. I know there is info on it but I can’t find any drivers to access it. Can anyone help?
Before hunting for drivers, plug it in and check Disk Management by right clicking Start and choosing it. If you see the drive there but no letter assigned, right click and add a drive letter. A lot of those old WD MyBooks do not need special drivers on Windows 11, they just need a proper power supply and a working USB cable. Make sure you are using the original power adapter because those older units will not spin up with the wrong one.
