MyBook 2TB not recognized by computer or XBOX after being unplugged ONCE!

Thanks for taking the time to look at my issue!

I unplugged mybook from the xbox I had it on (i made a 16 gb partition that I was storing game files on) and it no loger is recognized by my laptop or my xbox

It is located under devices, but I cannot click on it to show anything other than “properties.” It isn’t located under disk management.

The cost of using a data retrieval business costs almsot more than the HD did itself! It is still under warranty, but I have a LOT of data on the HD that I really need back. Any ideas?

What does an XBOX do to disk when you connect it? Do you know? Depending what it did and how far it went, you might be able to use R-Studio or GetDataBack. Failing that, then a data recovery shop is going to be your only option.

How does Microsoft’s UVCView utility see the external drive?

How do either of the following detect your drive?
