MyBook 1.5TB essential..connect to direct tv dvr..eSATA port?

Hello,

I have a WD MyBook Essential with smart backup and storage…mine has a cord with a 2.0 USB…the direct tv site says I can attach external hard drive to SATA port using an eSATA male plug?  What should I do?  The direct tv has a USB port…but it is in the front of the dvr?

Is there an adapter cord for 2.0 USB to eSATA port?  Does WD sell cords for small port in back of MyBook to eSATA?

Please someone…let me know.

There is no USB to eSATA adapter or cable.  It’s eSATA to eSATA, or USB to USB.
