My WD passport ultra 2 TB can’t be access at window 8.
I’ve used it into macbook pro retina before it.
I have 2 computers, and I want use my WD at 2 computers, macbook and window 8
It’s probably Mac formatted (HFS+), which by default can’t be read by Windows.
There are two options, either format it into a format which can be read by both (which will wipe all data that’s on it), or install some software on your Windows machine to allow it to read HFS+. See here for some examples of such software. I’ve not used any of them as I don’t own a Mac (the last one on the list is the re-format to use FAT32 I mention above).
Yes, my Mac formatted (HFS+)
okay, I’ll try it.
Thank you so much
I want ask you, what a format which can be read by both?
Thank you

remember formatting will erase all of your files … so you will need to back them up
another option, download software that lets Windows see a Mac formatted HDD
eg. HFSExplorer (Free) http://www.catacombae.org/hfsexplorer/
One caveat with Fat32 - there is a filesize limit per individual file (4GB) which may or may not be an issue for you, depending on what you are storing. Personally I would look at the software option, as per the link I put in my original answer (and as Joey echoed).

the KB article i linked to … states that
the other option it states is exFAT which has a max filesize of 16EB (Exabytes)
