Copying of data to WD Passport suddenly stops and nothing moves. There is no beep sound or anything. It just does not move and indicator light stops blinking. It used to work fine initially but now it is not. If I cancel the copy it takes hours but won’t cancel the copy and have to restart the computer finally. Any idea what is the problem?
Hi, it sounds like some of the files in the Passport are corrupted, to rule out any possible hardware damage I recommend you to run a test using DLG. If the test completes successfully try running a Windows check disk. Click on the following links for more information.

My Pasport drive is doing the same thing. I ran the Diagnostic and did a quick test and it was not able to complete the test said test failed. Cannot even run a disk check on it either. I clicked on the link you listed and it said most likely hard drive is corrupted. Is there any way possible to save the files I already have on there?? Thanks
