My WD my passport melted and now it’s glued to my desk.

It is still running as nothing happened, but I need to take it off of my desktop.

can I use put the HDD into another external case ??

can I apply for a warranty? I just can’t understand how this happens.

my computer is never running too hot.

No, it does not use a standard SATA connector

Neither can i. I have never heard of WD My Passports “melting”

I own several of them for years now, and not a single one has ‘melted’.

Accidents, misuse or improper installation are not covered by warranty.

You’re welcome to try applying, but don’t be surprised if they deny you.

It’s not completely melted, but it’s the only way I can figure out why it is glued to my desk.

what do you recommend to do??
