My WD media player doesn't work or show on my samsung 7150 tv

I just bought a Samsung 7150 smart tv but the media player doesn’t seem to show. I previously had a Samsung tv and it worked. any ideas or help is appreciated.

guess you tried all the obvious … different HDMI Cables, different HDMI Inputs, different Resolutions on the WDTV either Manual or Auto, disabling Samsung Anynet+ … etc etc

Did you restart the WDTV, and perhaps your router, too. When you add or take away devices you ought to reboot the home network devices, too. Reboot the devices in this order, router, WDTV and TV.
