I recently noticed that my WD SSD gets warmer during long file transfers (around 100GB+). It works normally, and I haven’t seen any crashes or performance issues, but I’m wondering if this is normal.
That’s normal. Long file transfers keep the SSD busy so it will run warmer. I would just make sure it has decent airflow and only be concerned if you notice speed drops errors or disconnects during those transfers.
Understood. I also consider this a normal phenomenon. I’ll make sure to maintain good ventilation when transferring files for extended periods in the future.
