My PC doesn't have software to open Elements portable drive. Model WD1200U17-000

My laptop can’t open the files stored on my Elements portable hard drive (Model WD 1200U17-000).  The Computer recognizes the drive, but  It can’t find the BKF file to open it.  I don’t know what this is.  Can you help me to find a place to download it.  There is something called a windows shell consumer that is also mentioned.

Thank you for your help.  The files are very important to me and I wouldn’t want to lose them.
