"My Passport"

About 2 weeks ago, I purchased a “My Passport” for my PC.  I followed the directions in the manual  and successfully installed it and ran my intial back-up of selected folders.  Today I wanted to update the back-up, but can’t find the original on the Passport and can’t see the menu for running a back-up.  I can see it under my “Computer” menu and the folders that show up are: Extras, Locale, User Manuals, WD Apps for Windows, and WD SmartWare.swstor.  How can I proceed with a finding the previous Back-up and the Back-up menu for the future.

The backup are encrypted inside of the folder called WD SmartWare.swstor

To make it easier for you, use the WD Smartware software to check the files under the option for retrieve, you will be able to see the files organize.

“Encrypted”? I sure can copy and paste the data out of that folder with no problems, it has the same structure as my C drive. I think you’re talking about the old backup folder prior to Skynet 1.3. THAT was encrypted and was near impossible to sort out without the retrieve function.
