My Passport Unlock routine

I have just upgraded my Mac to Mac OS Catalina Version 13.0.4 (15608.4.9.1.3)
The unlock routine within the passports icons on the sceen is greyed out and therefore prevents me from opening the files.
Is there a work round, is this an Apple problem?
